About Wolfdog

Country of Origin, History of Wolfdogs

It is a common belief that a Wolfdog is a mixed-breed dog created by crossing a regular large sized dog (typically German Shepherd Dog, Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute) with a wild wolf.

However, that is not always the case. In fact, many experts say that the vast majority of Wolfdogs possess very low wolf content

In absence of a clear definition, Wolfdogs are assumed to be breeds which have a Wolf in their family, no more than four or five generations back.
