About
Crissy, The Yorkshire Terrier |
|
Crissy, a
Purebred Yorkshire Terrier was
taken in by
Gwendolyn Gaskins from
United States. |
Here's how
Gwendolyn Gaskins describes
Crissy :
|
Does
Crissy 's behavior show the inherent Yorkshire Terrier
characteristics?
In which i most certainly do believe; eventhough the experts say it isn't so. crissy has her own attitude as to when/where to do things...she started out doing the exact opposite of what she was told to do, but now has established that goal...she use to always do her business in the cage, whenever i put her in there so i could leave; whether it be to the store real quick or off to work all day...i would come back to the same ole results. (poop! to clean) |
Special Achievement of Crissy :
I have learned to just treat crissy like the little girl she is! she reminds me of a 2yr.old child. i often talk to her, in which she holds this look on her face and turns her head sideways; as to say she knows exactly what i'm talking about. |
Gwendolyn Gaskins's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
I would recommend a dog like crissy to be with someone retired, an older couple maybe; due to the fact that she doesn't like kids running and playing with her...but she loves to be rubbed, and i love rubbing her! |

Here's how
Danielle Bateman describes
Britlee :
She is very energetic . she loves to cuddle . go for car rides and explore everything . |
Does

characteristics?
She hasn't really shown many traits of a yorkshire terrier except that potty training isn't an overnight venture . |
Special Achievement of Britlee :
Britlee is very smart and picks up things fast she is very lovable and loves our family |
Danielle Bateman's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
Alot of people have different feelings on this subject. i believe that if you teach your kids how to treat your yorkie they can grow together . we own three yorkies and have four kids and they all get along great and we have never had a problem .there is one thing people do need to know about yorkies - they need someone that is going to be able to spend a lot of time with them they do not like to be left alone . |

Yes she is a bit stubern at times. she has been hard to potty train. she also refuses to return her toys when you try to play fetch with her. that is actually kind of funny. |

I you are looking for a loyal friendly companion a tea cup yorkie is worth all you pay to get her. |
Dylka A. Kennedy's advice on what type of family should adopt

Exciting, burst of energy and a little rascal |
Does
Milo 's behavior show the inherent Yorkshire Terrier
characteristics?
Protective over my fiance. does anything and evrything to get my approval and always willing to learn |
Special Achievement of Milo :
Yorkies are an excellent breed and i always considered them to be like "toy" dogs. they just sit in a little dog bag and pose. i had to eat my words when i chose a yorkie instead of getting me a fourth pitbull. every single cent was so worth it. |
Olando's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
Any happy family. the bigger the better because they will love any attention they can get |
About
Molly, The Yorkshire Terrier |
|
Molly, a
Purebred Yorkshire Terrier was
adopted by
Zel Singleton from
South Africa. |
Here's how
Zel Singleton describes
Molly :
I would explain our molly as a beautiful little gentle soul who would creep into anyone's heart. being a typical terrier she obviously as small as she is, is not afraid of anything. |
Does
Molly 's behavior show the inherent Yorkshire Terrier
characteristics?
I have had yorkies for many years and i would say that she is a typical yorkie and deffinately has all the characteristics of her breed. |
Special Achievement of Molly :
Molly will always join into any conversation by cocking her little head from one side to the other as if understanding exactly what one is chatting about. |
Zel Singleton's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
I would suggest a loving caring family who will take the time to not only groom their yorkie but also spend loads of time with him or her as they really enjoy human company and to be chatted to during the day. |

About
Cody, The Yorkshire Terrier |
|
Cody, a
Purebred Yorkshire Terrier was
adopted by
Becky from
United States. |
Here's how
Becky describes
Cody :
Cody is a "moma's boy". he loves to play ball and has a play pen full of favorite toys. he also has a sweater for each day of the week. i used to be one of those people who made fun of those people who dressed their pets. he is just so cute! his energy level is amazing. he loves to take naps with me too. we snuggle up in the recliner and watch tv. |
Does
Cody 's behavior show the inherent Yorkshire Terrier
characteristics?
Yes...he loves to chase bugs and the laser. he also is a very good watch dog. i know when the mail man comes and if the door bell rings look out! |
Special Achievement of Cody :
If you choose a yorkie, make sure you have plenty of time for your new family member. they need lots of attention and care. he is a picky eater but i have found he loves fresh chicken breast and rice. instead of store bought dog treats he loves fresh baby carrots. i was always favored bigger dogs but this little guy has stolen my heart. |
Becky's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
You need to have lots of energy and lots of patience if you choose a yorkie. i would not recommend small children since they can get a bit rough. if you are a homemaker or retiree that has time to pay attention to this "baby in dog clothes" then this is the breed for you. you will not be disappointed if you want a companion for life. |

About
Lily, The Yorkshire Terrier |
|
Lily, a
Purebred Yorkshire Terrier was
adopted by
Marilyn Wallace from
United States. |
Here's how
Marilyn Wallace describes
Lily :
Energetic and full of life and she loves to give kisses |
Does
Lily 's behavior show the inherent Yorkshire Terrier
characteristics?
She is still too young to tell but she is in the mouthy stage and still learning to potty outside. still waiting on her to tell us she needs to go. |
Special Achievement of Lily :
A puppy like Lily is like raising a new baby and i get to train her and teach her things like i did with my own children. i am so glad i have her. |
Marilyn Wallace's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
A young puppy needs lots of attention and a family must be able to give that to them. you must have the extra time to spend with them. if you work 10 hours a day it would be difficult to devote your time to them, so i recommend an older couple or retired couple to give them that. |

About
Bandit, The Yorkshire Terrier |
|
Bandit, a
Mixed Breed Yorkshire Terrier was
adopted by
Carolyn Frost from
Canada. |
Here's how
Carolyn Frost describes
Bandit :
actually he is a good dog. i have had to separate him from his sister because she had her leg broken, by a customer. my only concern is that he has taken a dislike to a lot od people coming to my house and has even tried to bite some. i know it is his protect instinct, but it scares me. |
Does
Bandit 's behavior show the inherent Yorkshire Terrier
characteristics?
i think it does i know that terriers are famous for the protect instinct as i said. |
Special Achievement of Bandit :
they are besutiful dogs, very loving. they believe they are human and will take over and run your home if you let them. my youngest katie is very small and she is a lap dog. at ten months old she has me wrapped around her finger but she does listen to me. |
Carolyn Frost's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Yorkshire Terrier:
i would recommend a family that has older children. or the children don't live at home anymore. it still takes a few minutes for bandit to recognize my kids when they come. |
