About Pippin, The Wire Fox Terrier

Pippin, a Purebred Wire Fox Terrier was adopted by Nicky Solomon from United Kingdom.
Here's how Nicky Solomon describes Pippin :
Feisty, protective, loyal, loving, cheeky, naughty in a lovely sort of way, sensitive to your feelings. thinks she's king of the castle, the boss around the house. makes you laugh. sweet.
Does Pippin 's behavior show the inherent Wire Fox Terrier characteristics?
Yes, definitely. i owned a fox terrier before. they are almost identical in their characteristics. they have no fear. they have lot of determination and are highly territorial and protective of their owners, especially of children. they also hate water. being bathed is the worst thing that could happen to them. once towel-dried and released onto the floor they do this funny figure of 8, rump in the air thing which always makes us laugh. they also hate collars. when you put a collar on them they drop their heads in submission and look all sad. they also love performing tricks especially if it makes their audience laugh. they love making people they love happy. fox terriers are a cheeky, naughty breed. and the breed remains cute and sweet even into old age. just the best breed in the world....in my opinion that is
Special Achievement of Pippin :
I've said most of it. tintin, my previous fox terrier and now pippin, did and do make me laugh out loud. house-training pippin is proving to be a bit of a nightmare. there are certain things with fox terriers which are almost impossible to teach. with tintin i gave up house-training her. in the end, she used the cat-flap to charge in and out of the house and do her business in the garden.
Nicky Solomon's advice on what type of family should adopt a Wire Fox Terrier:
A family of children who want a sweet loving pet which will make everyone laugh. fox terriers are especially great with babies. i had each of my four babies at home and breast -fed them all with tintin sitting faithfully by by side . proud, as if she had just given birth. fox terriers make very protective, loving pets. they will also make children laugh out loud. i have a video of my first -born 17 years ago with tintin laughing and laughing and laughing until he could hardly breathe. when we lost tintin the house was completely barren and sad. that was 5 years ago. the introduction of pippin as a puppy 2 months ago has brought us all lots of joy. as an owner of a fox terrier, you will always receive lots of attention from passers-by or other dog owners in the park. that's so good for your own self-esteem and your child's. be prepared to answer lots of questions - it's not a common breed which people readily recognize so the interest is there from the start. they will ask - what breed is this. i haven't seen one of these around for years. my grandad owned one of these. as a child i used to own one of these as a push-along- toy on wheels. they're just great.
