About Jasmine, The Whippet

Jasmine, a Mixed Breed Whippet was rescued by Annie Marks from United Kingdom.
Here's how Annie Marks describes Jasmine :
Jasmine is loving, bouncy, impossible to wear out, loyal in the extreme and always hungry for love. she was never invited to sleep on my bed, but helped herself to her place and now expects me to move over to the edge to give her room! when she's out on her walks she's quite happy to bound away from me, but i notice she's always got me in her sights.
Does Jasmine 's behavior show the inherent Whippet characteristics?
Jasmine is as near full border collie as possible, but with whippet speed. she can go so fast when she's chasing seagulls that they find they have to move rather quickly! she is extremely intelligent, devoted to balls and sticks, loves the water ... and has to be kept well away from sheep, because a certain look comes into her eye when she sees them! she is also very protective of her family and her property and will leap about the car in a frenzy of barking if anyone dares to come too close.
Special Achievement of Jasmine :
Border collies must be stimulated, they are much brighter than most breeds of dog and they want to be 'up-and-at-it'most of the day. she is time-consuming and wouldn't suit someone who was out at work most of the time, but then that's a typical border collie.
Annie Marks's advice on what type of family should adopt a Whippet:
Families - she's excellent with my small grandchildren, in fact she loves them to bits. retired people - she keeps us well and truly fit because she wants to be out on a walk most of the day!

About Twist, The Whippet

Twist, a Mixed Breed Whippet was adopted by Susan Pape from United Kingdom.
Here's how Susan Pape describes Twist :
My dog is very bouncy, with big white teeth that shine, she's also very noisy, but i'm really glad she's mine. her hair is very ginger, in fact she's just like me, if dogs are like their owners, she's got it to a tee.
Does Twist 's behavior show the inherent Whippet characteristics?
Her behaviour is typical of many terriers... she is noisy, very energetic, very fast, can turn on a dime, will chase anything small and furry (not a good thing!), fantastic people dog, loves attention, great fun to train, independent and willful.
Special Achievement of Twist :
Not really, all our dogs, like children, are special to their owners.
Susan Pape's advice on what type of family should adopt a Whippet:
People with the time to train and excercise and play and run. she is fantastic with kids and loves running on the beach with them.
