About Roxy, The Weimaraner

Roxy, a Purebred Weimaraner was rescued by Patricia Cassidy from Canada.
Here's how Patricia Cassidy describes Roxy :
I would describe my weim as affectionate, athletic, beautiful, high energy, graceful, loyal, loving, intelligent, fast, regal, sensitive and a ton of fun.
Does Roxy 's behavior show the inherent Weimaraner characteristics?
Roxy is truely a "grey ghost" weimaraner who is my shadow all day and night. she could be in a deep sleep after running for 2 hours at a near by off leash dog park - if i leave the kitchen to go into another room, she'll be right there behind me. she guards and protects me 24 hrs./day. roxy's athletic body is so fast and regal. her recall immediate. she's the horse/pony i never had and wanted as i grew up. she can curl up her long lanky body/legs into such a small ball that she can transform from the tall large dog to a very small round dog. her face has many expressions and i believe she's an experienced old soul. if left alone for long periods of time, weims become very destructive to show their boredom and discontent. they require daily exercise, love and affection. they're very sensitive to having constant companionship, sensitive with skin allergies to food and clothing (jackets). they don't have a thick coat so they require lots of water in the hot weather to keep them hydriated and warm jackets/booties/hoodie (to keep their ears from freezing) in the cold weather. weims are extremely intelligent. roxy can open doors.
Special Achievement of Roxy :
My weim brings me so much joy and companionship. she fills a very huge void for me with her constant loyal affection. roxy is my first weimaraner, however, not my last. i love this breed. weims are a very special breed.
Patricia Cassidy's advice on what type of family should adopt a Weimaraner:
I would recommend weimaraners to athletic people/family who has someone at home with them full time. my roxy wants to be with me all day. i don't usually go anywhere without her. weather permitting and depending on the length of time she'd be in the vehicle whether hot/cold, she rides in our highlander to accompany me.

About Mona, The Weimaraner

Mona, a Purebred Weimaraner was adopted by Beth from United States.
Here's how Beth describes Mona :
Sweet, smart, beautiful animal....
Does Mona 's behavior show the inherent Weimaraner characteristics?
She is too young to tell i think...
Special Achievement of Mona :
She is doing great at being trained to go to the door when she needs to potty. i had read that this breed could have a problem in this area.
Beth's advice on what type of family should adopt a Weimaraner:
She loves being with one of us all the time. i would hate to see a dog with this "nature" being stuck in a yard all alone all day. she seems to thrive on what we are doing.

About Bentley And Bella, The Weimaraner

Bentley And Bella, a Purebred Weimaraner was adopted by Nicole Velozo from United States.
Here's how Nicole Velozo describes Bentley And Bella :
My dogs are fun loving, excited, personable..full of energy. my boy is a dog with lots of ideas...you see it in his expression and he has a great follow-through with his ideas. my girl is very loving and precious, she is danty as a girl should be where he is robust and manly. they enjoy meeting new animals and people alike. they spend their days playing in the paddock with our horses and each other. they love to play and follow a leader. they listen very well for young dogs and are the best dogs i have ever owned in my lifetime of owning dogs.
Does Bentley and bella 's behavior show the inherent Weimaraner characteristics?
Yes, our weims love to sleep in bed and truly exemplify the 'velcro' dog behavior as suggested for weims. they follow us everywhere like 'mini-humans'. they are true pointers and are extremely intelligent. they don't miss a trick.
Nicole Velozo's advice on what type of family should adopt a Weimaraner:
Dog people of course who have a lot of time to spend with their animals and can remain consistent with their obedience.
