About Button, The Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Button, a Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier was adopted by Alison Kamffer from South Africa.
Here's how Alison Kamffer describes Button :
A staffie of all staffies, hyperactive and excitable, but at the same time adorable and obedient.
Does Button 's behavior show the inherent Staffordshire Bull Terrier characteristics?
Definitely in terms of loving fun and loving people, but she started agility at the age of 4 and competed in basic agility until we moved too far away. she also learned excellent obedience, but was 'handicapped' competitively because she wasn't into ball retrieval!
Alison Kamffer's advice on what type of family should adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
An active family who understand the staffies as a breed. they can be difficult with other dogs.

About Red, The Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Red, a Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier was rescued by Gillian Hawkes from United Kingdom.
Here's how Gillian Hawkes describes Red :
Very gentle, and silly as a sack load of spanners
Does Red 's behavior show the inherent Staffordshire Bull Terrier characteristics?
The way he was treated before i had him, his previous owner wanted him for fighting, but, it just wasn't in his basic make-up. he adores chldren, but is a bit wary of other male dogs, but is fine with my staffie bitch
Special Achievement of Red :
When my niece was 14mths old she liked to feed him biscuits, and one day he didn't want one, so she literally forced it down his throat, almost up to her elbow, and instead of reacting he stood there gagging, if he was the type of dog that his previous owner had wanted him for, my little niece wouldn't have had an arm left.
Gillian Hawkes's advice on what type of family should adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
People who had children who were scared of dogs, because staffies are so gentle if they are treated properly, but in my case my dog was not treated right, but it did not stop his true characteristics coming through

About Smudge, The Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Smudge, a Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier was adopted by Linda Baumann from Australia.
Here's how Linda Baumann describes Smudge :
Smudge is the most gentle natured dog. always seems to have a big grin on her face. she gets along with all other animals and since having her left bach leg amputated because of cancer has fought hard to manage as well as she did before. she is the most loving dog i have ever had.
Does Smudge 's behavior show the inherent Staffordshire Bull Terrier characteristics?
I think her behavour is a lot to do with the bred if they are brought up in a loving caring home and taught boundies/ she really adores children but does have one fault that is jumpisng on people that has stopped somewhat since her operation.
Special Achievement of Smudge :
Smudge lives on our property and has learnt to be a bit of a sheep dog from our old border collie/kelpie cross and she will also put the chickens and ducks away if told to do so.
Linda Baumann's advice on what type of family should adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
I would recommend the staffies to anyone who wants a faithful loving dog, the only down side is they are a little bit boistious for little kids and can be very stubborn/

About Max, The Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Max, a Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier was adopted by Jean Westrop from United Kingdom.
Here's how Jean Westrop describes Max :
Very cheeky, loyal and loving with a naughty sense of humour!
Does Max 's behavior show the inherent Staffordshire Bull Terrier characteristics?
Most definitely. he can be very stubborn and is highly intelligent.
Special Achievement of Max :
The only thing i can say is be patient with them because they will try your patience to the bitter end!!
Jean Westrop's advice on what type of family should adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
Patient and strict because they need to know where they are in the pack and if its not obvious to them then they will try to be pack leader.

About Diesel, The Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Diesel, a Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier was adopted by Nikki Dickson from United Kingdom.
Here's how Nikki Dickson describes Diesel :
Diesel is a very playful and caring dog.
Does Diesel 's behavior show the inherent Staffordshire Bull Terrier characteristics?
Staffs love attention and cuddles. they are very playful dogs and very caring.
Special Achievement of Diesel :
If you dont own a staffy. please dont judge a book by its cover. when i take diesel for a walk with my son. people pull their children away from us thinking diesel will hurt their child. think about it would i have him walking next to my 2 year old if he was dangerous? i dont think so.
Nikki Dickson's advice on what type of family should adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
I would recommend a family with small children buying a staff when they are still a puppy. the pup and the children will become best friends and grow up together.

About K-c, The Staffordshire Bull Terrier

K-c, a Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terrier was rescued by Rikki from Canada.
Here's how Rikki describes K-c :
Very well behaved, loyal, extreamly inteligent, well socilized
Does K-c 's behavior show the inherent Staffordshire Bull Terrier characteristics?
Yes, at times she can be very dominate/aggressive with other female dogs.
Special Achievement of K-c :
When i got this dog she wanted to attack and kill anything in sight. now she is a big teddy bear, and has her cgc, and theripy dog licance.
Rikki's advice on what type of family should adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
These dogs are great wit kids, if they are socilized with them as pups they will be very gentle....these dogs are not cold blooded killers.
