About Peluche, The Poodle

Peluche, a Purebred Poodle was adopted by Julia Tavares from United States.
Here's how Julia Tavares describes Peluche :
Peluche is very friendly, harmless to kids and adults. however he humps any human that he can get. this is one of his worst behavior. my husband gets pretty upset when we get guest and he start doing that to them. he also do not like to be alone, he cries too much when we don't take him with us. he also chew and scratches doors and i mean he really damages them. but once he is not alone he bahave like the most well behaved dog. he is also very frighten by any noise such as thunders, guns shots, from loud violent movies. he runs and hide under the bed.even if he hears an airplane he dos not want to go outside. he also suffer from some sort of epileptic convulsions he start buy loosing his strength, not being able to get up form the floor, and trembles as if very cold. once the zeisure is almost over then he throws up, and after obout three to five minutes he is able to get up and start walking again. some times he remains very tranquil for the rest of the day and some times he seems as if nothing has happennned. he loves to sleep under our bed. something my husband hates. but i have not been able to make him sleep in his out bed out of the room.if i try to make him sleep out of our room he will spend all night crying, and then hy husband is more upset for not being able to have a good sleep. so he finaly allows him to sleep under our bed, but no happily.
Does Peluche 's behavior show the inherent Poodle characteristics?
I do not know. i wish i knew how to change his behavior!
Special Achievement of Peluche :
Yes, peluche has been a dog that has been from home to home to often so i guess that is not good for him. 1- i got him from a little girl who was not allow to have him at her residence, when he was about two yrs old. then i kept him for about four yrs, then my grandson was born with some sign of asthma, so the doctor said the baby and peluche could not be together. at that point i move him to my niece house who loved him dearly. but destroyed her apartment doors, and the landlord no longer allowed her to keep him.at that time my grand son was out of my home, but my husband refused to let me take him back to our apartment. so my son took him in.it seems that he has finally found the perfect home and the perfect owner. my son loves him more than his life. but then he bacame a cop, and at the same time had to move due to his job. and as always no pets allowed in that building. so, my son spoke to a couple friends of his, and they got very exited about getting peluche. the first night peluche cried soo much they could not sleep. so they call my son and said they could not bear the dog being not happy at their home and the lack of sleep for the family. so he had to pick him up. then the hard decision had to be made, i asked my husband to let me have him since i could keep him now, and he strongly refused. i'm trullu sorry, but peluche will be home by the time you come home from work. and i'm sorry you feel so upset. he is my dog, and i feel responssible for him. so that's what happened peluche came home and my husband still some how upset but doesn't talk about it. and totally ignores peluche. which hurts me pretty much. but at least he is with me. and i love him. well i love them both, which i think this is what bother my husband soo much. lol. well what i really wanted to share is that once i was driving around the area where my son's friends live and peluche got very nervous and whined, then i told my son about it. and he says , oh that is because in that street is where the couple live. so i guess he was afraid we might bring him back to that house. well peluche is back home with me having a blast. and i'm planning to taking him with us when we retire in the dominican republic, by the end of this year. i would love to have him trained not to hump people. so my husband won't feel soo offended when people come over to visit. can you help me, help him get rid of that habbit?
Julia Tavares's advice on what type of family should adopt a Poodle:
Someone who really cares about animals, and consider them as part of their family. this breed is great theydon't shed hair all over the house, when they are groomed they seem like luxury pets to decor your home and they are soo friendly and harmless. i love my dog. and i must say he is also very into taking care of the house and owner. if he hears any noise he will bark and alert us inmediately. his bark sound soo much deeper and strongert than his size. you would think a larger dog is guarding the house. definetely recomend his breed.

celine is a composite of beauty, intelligence, comfort, and a knowing presence . when it all comes together in one soft look from her golden eyes ... she is telling me that she is loved.
Does Celine 's behavior show the inherent Poodle characteristics?
yes. the nobility of the standard poodle cannot be matched.
Special Achievement of Celine :
our canine friends. are gathered as "property" by so many who lack the true knowledge of what friendship really means. to have a canine as your best friend has proven to be more beneficial in the long run. celine has just become my one year old. and has shown that she is as secure in her feelings for me as i am with her.
Barbara Bryan's advice on what type of family should adopt a Poodle:
People who really feel that they can return the 110% of the love that their dog gives them. and people who are willing to be there at the end as well as in the beginning.

About Simoneami, The Poodle

Simoneami, a Purebred Poodle was rescued by Lylea Parlour from Canada.
Here's how Lylea Parlour describes Simoneami :
sweet, cuddly, funny, when she plays with her toys and throws them all over the house. a real chuckle when she asks for her treat.
Does Simoneami 's behavior show the inherent Poodle characteristics?
absolutely
Special Achievement of Simoneami :
My dog is a bright light in my life. i have ms and she gives me a reason to get up every morning and start moving, also to walk her. i wonder what i did with my time before she came to live with me. as soon as i saw her picture on line i knew we were going to be best friends. no matter who she meets, she always looks to me for approval. she has found her forever home.
Lylea Parlour's advice on what type of family should adopt a Poodle:
Someone that stays home, and doesn't work. a retired person. a person that lives alone. tolerates children, but is not realy fond of them. has developed the habit of barking at everything that moves outside.. when she first arrived she was so thin we could feel her back bone and ribs. now she gets so many doggy treats she has a tendancy to get a little pudgy.

About Daisy, The Poodle

Daisy, a Mixed Breed Poodle was adopted by Darla Yowell from United States.
Here's how Darla Yowell describes Daisy :
A big bundle of energy with feet bigger than the palm of my hand, and she keeps getting bigger
Does Daisy 's behavior show the inherent Poodle characteristics?
Daisy loves to fetch. i can throw her a toy or stick and she will bring it back to me as long as her sister whiskers lets her. she also loves her baths and has been known to try to get into her water bowl and roll around. she has a sweet personality and loves to play with any person that comes along. she especially likes to run with the kids. since she is a retrever, this is characteristic of her breed.
Special Achievement of Daisy :
Daisy is a sweet but busy puppy. she knows not to get on the couch but if i am taking a nap there, she will sometimes climb on me with her upper body and keep her feet on the floor. she lays her head on my chest and just waits for me to pet her. she is one of the most lovable dogs i have ever had, gentle and sweet but she sure loves her treats.
Darla Yowell's advice on what type of family should adopt a Poodle:
A family with bigger children. this breed is big and when they are puppies and busy, they tend to get real excited and will jump and knock small children over. i also recommend a big back yard because they like to run and are big. they are sweet dogs and make good pets.

About Cookie, The Poodle

Cookie, a Mixed Breed Poodle was rescued by Dana Rabin from United States.
Here's how Dana Rabin describes Cookie :
A sweet loving little girl.
Does Cookie 's behavior show the inherent Poodle characteristics?
We rescued cookie from a bad part of los angeles, california and we do not know enough just yet... with the exception of one thing i know for sure she has the sweetness of a bichon, a calm, quite, loving dog. she especially likes to sit on your lap. she could stay there all day if she could. more of her personality will come out in the weeks ahead. but, cookie desperately needs alot of tlc and training - as soon as possible.
Special Achievement of Cookie :
When you consider to rescue a dog, you must do your homework first...and be prepared to have the time, patience, and understanding - for these poor little doggies suffer from seperation anxiety disorder, and other unknown problems. so, they need alot of love and compassion.
Dana Rabin's advice on what type of family should adopt a Poodle:
A couple or a family with older children. (so, that they do not constantly hover over the dog when it arrives in their new home.)
