About P.d. Nordberg Davidson, The Mastiff

P.d. Nordberg Davidson, a Purebred Mastiff was taken in by Anthony Marks from United States.
Here's how Anthony Marks describes P.d. Nordberg Davidson :
One of a kind, my best buddy in the world. always there to lean on me no matter what. favorite game is hide and seek. you can look into his eyes and know he is thinking
Does P.d. nordberg davidson 's behavior show the inherent Mastiff characteristics?
Yes very protective, loves to be right where i am at all the time. smart, loyal best breed of dog i have ever had.
Special Achievement of P.d. Nordberg Davidson :
Just that his and my personality are so much alike that it is so scary.
Anthony Marks's advice on what type of family should adopt a Mastiff:
The kind of people that think of a dog as a family member and treat it as such.my dog shows me love that i could never find in a human.

About Axe, The Mastiff

Axe, a Purebred Mastiff was adopted by Cliff Lewis from United States.
Here's how Cliff Lewis describes Axe :
Majestic, strong-willed, curious, protective, percocious, puppy-like,even at two years-old, and "slobber-mouth".
Does Axe 's behavior show the inherent Mastiff characteristics?
I think so, if, according to trainers, his breed was used to protect the king , the king's family, and the king's land in days of yore.
Special Achievement of Axe :
I, and my wife are torn with regards to having him undergoe a "minor" surgical procedure to address the excessive salivation. we dress in "slobber-clothes" for him, and know that most each day, furniture, including our 65" high-def tv screen will need to be wiped down on a regular, if not daily basis.
Cliff Lewis's advice on what type of family should adopt a Mastiff:
My wife and i both definitely have to be "alpha". have a relatively large outdoor area for them, or be illing to do a lot of exercise with them. must attend formal training. and, finally, belive what cesear milan says the "nature will overcome nurture", have them fixed regardless of how personally unsavory it might be for some.

About Zoe, The Mastiff

Zoe, a Mixed Breed Mastiff was taken in by Kay Johnson from Australia.
Here's how Kay Johnson describes Zoe :
A very, beautiful,loving intelligent,cheeky,playful,destructive little girl
Does Zoe 's behavior show the inherent Mastiff characteristics?
Absolutely shows every staffy trait possible, good and bad, from digging to stubborn attitude, to back chatting ! then to loving, intelligent and adorable !
Special Achievement of Zoe :
Zoe has just turned 12 months old and i believe i met her by fate a few weeks after having to make the heartbreaking decision to give my beautiful, loyal companion of 13 years a long and well deserved rest. ( thats was my dog, not my ex partner ) her mum was about to travel over seas , and was looking for someone to love her as she did. i needed something to help ease the loss of my beloved boy samson (shepard, lab cross. zoe and i met (not her original name) and decided we both liked each other, neither of us knew what we were in for as i run a fairly strict household dog wise, and she was used to the run of the house. considering the staffy breed thrown in , you can imagine , the challenge was on for us both ! we spend as much time together as possible work wise permiting, and i would love to walk her more, but am constantley filling in holes or mending retic when i get home. i have decided i dont need a garden for the next year or so, as i want to keep my dog and my sanity ! we spend time learning tricks every night, and throwing one of her 20 toys. she has learnt very quickly that i run the household and i am the one in charge. we have been together around 7 weeks now and she no longer jumps up at me when i come home or in and out a door. i have no more back chatting, only the occasionaly mumble. she waits at the door till she is asked to come in or out. she now sits, stays, rolls over, lies down, speaks when asked, puts her toys away in her toybox everynite. the best one is i purposely leave a bar fridge or cupboard door open and when asked, she goes and closes it for me. so even though we have a long way to go, we are both trying so hard to please each other. i have grown to love this naughty little girl, and am so excited just to see her when i get home even after i examine the destruction for the day. every day is getting easier i know in my heart i will once again have the best friend ever for another 13 years.
Kay Johnson's advice on what type of family should adopt a Mastiff:
The kind that are very patient, loving and forgiving !
