About Bertha, The Japanese Chin

Bertha, a Purebred Japanese Chin was adopted by Suzanne from United States.
Here's how Suzanne describes Bertha :
"deeeelightful". berta, my japanese chin, is fun ,friendly, affectionate, loving, she's a tail wagging, snuggle-jumping bundle of joy. ooooh she loves children. she can sit calmly or she can run crazy figure eights around any area large enough. she's easy going(no complaints at bath time), no whimpering when i put her in her carrier, or if she has to stay in there. i can take her anywhere. i work with people and she loves my clients...i never taught her that!
Does Bertha 's behavior show the inherent Japanese Chin characteristics?
Yes, japanese chins are apparently know to be affectionate and friendly. she can be stubborn and has sort of a "royal" attitude. she seems to be quite bright and attentive.
Special Achievement of Bertha :
Well, i think i already have, but, let me say, i never thought i could love anything this much. i've always owned cats and this is quite a shift, so i'm glad bertha is so easy. every day with bertha is a day of love and joy. she's a fun companion. oh, i forgot to mention, she's very beautiful.
Suzanne's advice on what type of family should adopt a Japanese Chin:
Possibly anyone. she has several 9 and 10 year old boys who love her right now. all my adult clients love her. last but not least, she had her first succesful playmate ( a one year old pomachu) so i know she can get along well with other dogs. shes's like a playful princess. get one! she's only 5 months old now, so i have lots of fun ahead.

About Windsor, The Japanese Chin

Windsor, a Purebred Japanese Chin was adopted by Rosalind Tharpe from United States.
Here's how Rosalind Tharpe describes Windsor :
Windsor is so cool he rarely barks. he is loving and constantly under my feet. he never chews, gets on furniture. he is the coolest dog around. he totally ignores other dogs. i think he believes he is a person.
Does Windsor 's behavior show the inherent Japanese Chin characteristics?
Some of his behavior is inherent to his breed. he does run back and forth periodically as if he were playing a game, but it is unusual to hear him bark and that happens only when necessary.he goes out to take care of his business and waits patiently at the front door for someone to let him.
Special Achievement of Windsor :
Japanese chins are wonderful dogs. windsor is sable and white, so he has a beautiful coat. we make sure windsor has roasted chicken for dinner. he does eat dog food in the morning.windsor eats small meals and he weighs approximately 14 pounds. he likes to walk once daily and basically trained himself to an outside area of the house. he likes his own space and you will not have problems with this breed jumping on furniture. windsor also likes to get his hair washed and blow dryed.
Rosalind Tharpe's advice on what type of family should adopt a Japanese Chin:
We have a special needs child and windsor is very sensitive to our son. chins do well in small spaces, but i would caution around small children. windsor does not like to be touched frequently
