About Zander, The Cocker Spaniel

Zander, a Purebred Cocker Spaniel was adopted by Shara Webb from United States.
Here's how Shara Webb describes Zander :
Dark chocolate brown with floppy ears that are auburn. large paws and muscular shoulders. has beautiful gold eyes that look human.
Does Zander 's behavior show the inherent Cocker Spaniel characteristics?
He was bred in south carolina originally and is a hunting/gun dog. he has an intense sense of smell and gets so excited when he sees birds. as a cocker, he is built for speed and loves the water which fits into our lifestyle. he is easy to house train and when we say "kennel up" he goes to his kennel. like other cocker spaniels, he is so loving and such a joy to our family.
Special Achievement of Zander :
he gets upset and will retreat to his kennel if he has done something wrong. he loves to play and frolic. he loves people and amazingly he travels so well. my husband and i travel a lot and he is always ready to go. he lays and sleeps and comes to the front of the car and sticks his head between the seat to let us know to stop. i think he is the perfect dog.
Shara Webb's advice on what type of family should adopt a Cocker Spaniel:
Great with children and as an individual dog as well. great hunters and the most wonderful thing i love about him is that loud noises do not bother him at all. we have a condo in another busy downtown country and he adapts so well to that and then our florida home. he was bred for guns to go off by his head, not skiddish.

About Bella, The Cocker Spaniel

Bella, a Mixed Breed Cocker Spaniel was adopted by Zandra from South Africa.
Here's how Zandra describes Bella :
Bella is very outgoing - and has a mind of her own. she loves company and has fitted into our household as if she has been there all her life. bella is a real busy-body and only sits still when she is sleeping.
Does Bella 's behavior show the inherent Cocker Spaniel characteristics?
Bella has the face of the cocker spaniel and the body of the border collie - she is full of energy just like the border collie - she chases a pair of 'wagtails' that are breeding on our verandah when they walk on the lawn looking for food - which is the cocker spaniel coming out in her - the wagtails in turn tease her by doing short flights around the lawn making bella run for a good 15 minutes at a time until she loses interest in them and/or finds something else more interesting to play with.
Special Achievement of Bella :
I've only had bella for a month - but she stole my heart within minutes of receiving her. she has a gorgeous face - and the most adorable eyes - you can't help but love her - she captures the hearts of everyone who meets her. she also gets along well with my other dogs; which are two maltese cross; and a boer-boel x australian cattle dog.
Zandra's advice on what type of family should adopt a Cocker Spaniel:
I would recommend a puppy like bella to a family with children. bella is very friendly and has a very out-going personality - you can't help but love her
