Weighing over 150 pounds, the Boerboel is an exceptionally
strong and imposing dog. If fully socialized and obedience trained at an early
age, he can be a reliable and obedient family member. He is very playful and
affectionate and particularly likes to play games with his owner.
The Boerboel has jaws that are so strong he often pops any ball he plays with,
but he will continue playing with it anyway. The Boerboel is very gentle with
children and loves playing with them and having them “ride” him
like a horse.
Boerboels make good guard dogs and will only accept visitors after being properly
introduced. Only those who know how to be Alpha should own this breed.
