Waylon, a Purebred Bloodhound was rescued by Rabiah Seminole from United States.
Here's how Rabiah Seminole describes Waylon :
Bloodhound
Does Waylon 's behavior show the inherent Bloodhound characteristics?
I think his behavior is learned from his past experience. his foundation behavior began with his abuse. being a big, energetic puppy he was left to freak out on the end of a chain. thank god he is here now. he needs work though ..he just wants love and attention and guidance. i need your help.
Special Achievement of Waylon :
Be patient, there is a good dog under there. remember he was not treated with love and respect as a puppy...he has to learn that you love him and he can trust you.
Rabiah Seminole's advice on what type of family should adopt a Bloodhound:
Patient, kind and willing to make a commitment.

Yes, the nose knows on this guy. no tracking training, but he can find his poppy in any motel we've ever stayed in.
Special Achievement of George :
He's just a big lovable giant.
Leslie Rizzo's advice on what type of family should adopt a Bloodhound:
If you don't mind slobber and drowl, inappropriate sniffing, noisey greetings, table clearing tail waggings, and long brisk walks these are the most wonderful dogs out there.

About King Brutus Of Comstock, The Bloodhound

King Brutus Of Comstock, a Purebred Bloodhound was adopted by Katie Prelewitz from United States.
Here's how Katie Prelewitz describes King Brutus Of Comstock :
O
Does King brutus of comstock 's behavior show the inherent Bloodhound characteristics?
He will locate any turd or carcass in a mile radius anywhere we take him. he acts afraid of you and creeps up w/ head low and then sprints at you when he's close and slobbers all over you. his howl or bay is earth shattering loud, you will know when you have company, but, is not protective at all.
Special Achievement of King Brutus Of Comstock :
Are your couches smeared shiney too? when he shakes his head his jowels release a shower of drool. you have to take cover! and toys??? stuffed animals last 5 min max. he'll kill a pig ear in 3 min, eats 4 bowls a day, and will polish a large rawhide in one sitting. it's like having a semi-tame bear living in my house.
Katie Prelewitz's advice on what type of family should adopt a Bloodhound:
There is no preparing for this. you must have property or walk daily or your home will pay the price! extremely affectionate, but comes off as intrusive b/c of massive size and drool that resembles (you know what) all over your clothes and couches and random missiles all over the walls. better have some $$$ for vet bills, these dogs get into everything!!!!! and eat and eat etc... poop? let's not go there.

About Charlie, The Bloodhound

Charlie, a Mixed Breed Bloodhound was rescued by Tina from United States.
Here's how Tina describes Charlie :
The biggest, most lovable, gentle dog ever! very good with people as well as all the other animals we have.
Does Charlie 's behavior show the inherent Bloodhound characteristics?
I am unfamiliar with the breed characteristics.
Special Achievement of Charlie :
My husband rescued him from browning where charlie came up to his truck. when he went to pet him he noticed his right eye was very swollen and practically bulging from his head and his left eye was actually all mangled looking and had a big blob of pink hanging out of it. he asked someone if he knew who the dog belonged to and they told him they did not so my dog lovin husband brought him to the vet. the vet knew the dog and the owners and tried to contact them several times and left messages with no response. when they did not seem to care my husband brought him home for us to "bring back to health (as he was very skinny as well) and adopt out to a family. it took one look at this big lovable giant to say he had already found his adopted home! the vet informed us she did not know if his swollen eye will ever be normal again and that he has no sight in it and the other one she cut the yucky blob out of and said vision would be limited. i think he has partial visiion from both eyes though. we are so thankful after just a few days that charlie found us!
Tina's advice on what type of family should adopt a Bloodhound:
A family that will take care of them and love them. they will love you back!
