About
Boomer, The Bernese Mountain Dog |
|
Boomer, a
Mixed Breed Bernese Mountain Dog was
rescued by
Lori Byrne from
United States. |
Here's how
Lori Byrne describes
Boomer :
Cuddlebug, loving, alert, adaptive, loves attention |
Does
Boomer 's behavior show the inherent Bernese Mountain Dog
characteristics?
Yes, he likes to "herd" all the other dogs, (we have 9)and have them all in one place. he likes to watch the yard and the house. he is always paying attention to what is going on. also, he has to sniff everybody and every new thing, even when i change my clothes.
he has always sat at my feet naturally, and heeled during walks. i never had to teach him these things, but i had to teach him the words that he was doing since 10 weeks old!! |
Special Achievement of Boomer :
These dogs are easy to train, as they really want to please you. they are also big cuddlebugs. i taught my dog to scratch my back, as they use their paws alot, it was easy to do. |
Lori Byrne's advice on what type of family should adopt
a Bernese Mountain Dog:
I would recommed this breed (the bernese mountain dog) to just about anybody. these dogs are great with children, and all other animals. they are extremely adaptive, alert, and would make great guard dogs. they are pretty mellow in the house, and outside they like to just keep track of whats going on. |
