My dog is human, my dog loves to be cuddle in the blankets, he cries for you to pick up the blanket and so he can get under the blanket. my dog when he wants a treat he will look at you and cry to you so you can go and give him a treat, sometimes i wonder if the treats are addicted :). he is a wonderful loving dog i would die for my dogs, my dogs are my therapy, i have a baby name mila, and mila waits until i get home and she sits right in front of me so i can kiss her neck and just love her, she wants so much love, and i have it all to give, thank god for dogs....a loving parent of two big bears.... |

Well american staffordshire terriers have a bad rap, but i know for the years i have had dogs this breed, their are loving, caring and very devoted dogs, they are what you want them to be, it is all on the owner, how he trains his pets..... |

Yes you need to devote your 100 percent of time to your pets, i mean their are your kids, i dont have a life but i love my life with my two dogs, just love them and they will return that love double folds.... |

Very loveable,high energy when taken for walks but sort of chills out in the home.

In no way! for being from the pit bull family lattimore is very affectionate to show love to everyone he meets by wanting them to pet him. he never, never, snaps at anyone or has bitten anyone not even a growl toward them. i have tried to show him and courage this behavior by commands and rewards with treats. he justs thinks everyone wants to play with him. i have never seen this in a pit bull breed.
when he plays with me he will not bit even playing around. |
Special Achievement of Lattimore :
Lattimore, likes to watch the animal channel especially when dogs are on, he'll look in the back of the tv to see if they are in the back.
when i move out of my old apt. i took him to the old apt. to see that it was empty and he walked out the door. that was to desensitize him so he would adjust to the new apartment and it worked. |
Eddie C.'s advice on what type of family should adopt
a American Staffordshire Terrier:
Only those that are active in outdoor activities and also have time to walk them even when they get out of work. they can be excellent with kids if they are brought up as a puppy even with a cat but like i said from a puppy only. mature adults that take responsiblity with the overall health concerns and have time to interact to enforce good habits. |

He is very affectionate ----we call him the boss --- he is always very happy to see us when we come home ---he comes to wake us up in the morning ---when he needs to go outside ---he isn't overly courageous---doesn't trust anything new at first ---he pays attention when you talk to him ----and turns his head when he recognizes a word ---he hardly barks usually for a reason for eg. if something is where it shouldn't be or if there is something new that he hasn't seen before ---he thinks to help when we clean the house by taking the carpets out to be shook or grabing a rag to clean up ---the house is empty when he isn't around ---he likes to watch tv----enjoys going for walks --- |

He is very serious when he goes for walks --some people are afraid of him even though he doesn't bark or growl at them --he observes them attentively---he wrinkles his forhead ----he doesn't like strangers to make a fuss over him ---he has to decide whether or not he likes them ---he won't accept cookies from strangers ---i am always careful when children are around --beause when he was a puppy a child hurt him and i think he still remembers it --also being very muscular i wouldn't want something to happen ---bumping into a child --he could easily knock it down---he is very protective ---if he hears someone screaming or shouting he has to check it out ---he is very sensitive --- and understands if you are annoyed with him for some reason and easily becomes offended --i don't know much about his breed's characteristics as it is very difficult to get much information about it --- |

I'd recommend him to any family that has time to dedicate to this type of dog --- he needs alot of attention ---in return is very loyal --- he would do anything to please his owner ---and is a great family dog ---you must be physically strong ---and you must train him for obbiedience --- |
